In collaboration with Theatre De Meervaart, ICK presents the annual ICKFEST this year with a richly filled program full of dance performances, workshops, showcases and an after party. Three days with performances by, among others, Emanuel Gat, Aleksandra Lemm, Eric Minh Cuong Castaing and Ballet National de Marseille.
On Friday, November 2, we will open the ICKFEST 2018 with the premiere of 'NEXT', a new performance in which the Israeli choreographer Emanuel Gat, together with the dancers of ICK, reveals the mechanism behind a choreography and shows dance as an algorithm.
Taste the concept of 'emptiness' on Saturday with the performance 'BLUE' by choreographer Aleksandra Lemm. The same day, Ballet National de Marseille will have its World premiere of 'The swans and the others (Les Cygnes et les Autres)' by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. Late in the evening we will make space for 'CHOREOPOP' by Jesus De Vega & Chai Blaq, where contemporary dance and live music set the tone to celebrate the afterparty!
On Sunday the theme dance & technology is central and 'SCHOOL OF MOON', a luminous performance with children, robots and adults can be seen.
Take a seat in the Cinedans Filmbooth, visit the photo exhibition of house photographer Alwin Poiana or join the workshop 'Double Skin / Double Mind'.
In addition to tickets for the individual performances, there is also a passe-partout for the whole weekend available for only € 40.00
