Corona update

On this page we will keep you informed of the consequences of the measures taken by the National Government against the spread of the corona virus.

We regret to inform you that ICK is forced to cancel all remaining performances and other activities up to January 14th, 2022. The various theatres will keep you informed of developments, and ticket buyers for NAM Non Aligned Movement by Christian Guerematchi will be notified as soon as possible.

We are also forced to cancel the Double Skin/Double Mind Open Classes on Wednesday evenings for the time being. We hope to welcome everyone back in our studios soon. Or how about DS/DM at a different time? Please let our education coordinator Marley Braaf know about your interest, marley@ickamsterdam.nl.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Latest update

Due to the current lockdown measures against the coronavirus, we had to cancel the Dutch premiere of Disappearance in the new theater of Amare in The Hague. Now we hope to appear on 17 & 18 January in Internationaal Theater Amsterdam!

On a positive note

On the eve of the new evening lockdown against the spread of the unleashed virus, this year's ICK-Fest was just able to go on. How nice it was to receive the applause. For Andreas Hannes with his world premiere that gave a new twist to his 'skipping' language and for the (partly) original cast of Conjuncto di Nero that revived the old magic.

NRC about Known & to Know: ".... With the five dancers, the waves do not only run through the arms, they sail through the whole body, taking shoulders, arms, head with them. In those furious movements their energy converges beautifully, almost tangibly. It is not yet known if and when the double bill Nero/Reverberated Emissions will be shown. What is known is that it is worth seeing."

Save the date

Dutch premiere Disappearance

Disappearance is the second part of the diptych Appearance-Disappearance. The show premiered in Luxembourg in 2019 and was praised by the international press. The Dutch premiere had to be postponed due to corona, but the show can now be seen in the Netherlands with an almost new cast after all. Click here for more info and tickets
