Let yourself be surprised by the engaging, daring and barrier-breaking dance makers and performers of today.

From Friday the 25th of March until Friday the 3rd of June 2022, Moving Futures Festival will travel to nine different Dutch cities. Moving Futures is the festival where you can experience dance by the newest generation of makers in all its manifestations. The festival showcases innovative dance in a generously varied programme with performances, installations, workshops and (after)talks.

PROGRAMME

ICK artists-in-residence Keren Rosenberg, Christian Guerematchi, and Courtney May Robertson will present different performances at all of the cities involved in Moving Futures. Additionally, Sung Im Her - one of the 20 selected artists of the internationally renowned Aerowaves Twenty21 - will present the Dutch premiere of the performance Nutcrusher during Moving Futures Amsterdam. The interactive and sensory dance game Vibes #4 - Mujõ will also have its Dutch premiere.

Moving Futures Festival is an initiative of ICK Artist Space, DansBrabant, Dansateliers, De Nieuwe Oost, Korzo, and Grand Theatre Groningen. ICK Artist Space is responsible for the organisation and contextual fringe programme of Moving Futures Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Keren Rosenberg - Going Primal

During the Moving Futures Festival 2022, Keren will present two of the chapters of her performative novel Going Primal: Re-Surface and Margela is Going Primal.

Courtney May Robertson - THE WOMAN DESTROYED

After the premiere in February 2022, Courtney May Robertson will present THE WOMAN DESTROYED at many of Moving Futures' festival days, next to her short performance The pleasure of stepping off a horse when it's moving at full speed.

Christian Guerematchi - Hissy Fit

After its expected premiere at Frascati on the 24th, 25th and 26th of March, Christian Guerematchi's Hissy Fit will travel the Netherlands during Moving Futures.
