TEACH ME NOT ! - Wojciech Grudzinski

Work-in-progress

Polish Wojciech Grudziński, artist, choreographer and dancer, explores in-between and interdisciplinary spaces. Grounded in the performative freedom and emancipatory power of dance, his artistic practice navigates implicit and explicit power dynamics in theatre and choreography, embracing queerness and diversity. Teach me not! is an ode to students' longing for the bittersweet memories of their masters.

"Now, what? Are you a student in need of a good lesson, or are you a teacher in search of a willing student? Will you obey this binary choice, or are you ready to refuse, non-conform, and deny it? This is where the game begins."

"Together with Maria Magdalena Kozłowska, we will be presenting a work-in-progress performance, taking advantage of the fact that the teacher is not present. It is a praise of students' longing for the bittersweet memories of their masters. What is the choreography of disagreement? How do you dance 'NO'?"

Wojciech Grudziński is Supported Artist at ICK Dans Amsterdam
