Addio alla Fine

Addio alla Fine is a location project based on Fellini’s film E La Nave Va.
In the performance the makers examine the end, not as the terminal  destination but as a point of departure, a fresh beginning. The audience sails along on a journey calling at seven stops. The performance starts at the quayside from where Greco and Scholten will take you to an unknown destination aboard their own ‘Noah’s Ark’. There, the audience is confronted with an accumulation of image and sound, a multiplication of  dancers – pianissimo, piano, mezzoforte, forte, fortissimo. There seems to be enough to still believe in. The ominous end transforms into hopeful expectation.
